Three Times World 500cc Motocross Champion Dave Thorpe has been sitting back and watching the opening three rounds of the FIM World MX2 Championship and is more than excited about the battle between British rider Tommy Searle and The Flying Dutchman Jeffrey Herlings.

Frenchman Christophe Pourcel and Dutchman Jeffrey Herlings really showed good form at the Grand Prix of Italy last weekend. Having showed consistent results in Bulgaria just a week earlier the two came into round three of the FIM World Motocross Championships with high hopes.

Australian Motocross rider Dean Ferris is really showing great speed as he makes his move on the top ten in the FIM World MX1 Championship. Ferris, who feels he has the speed and style to race within the top five in the World, is slowly coming into that type of form after injuring his elbow in the pre-season.

FERMO (Italy), 29 April 2012 – The 17000 people present in Fermo were able to enjoy incredible racing in both MX1 and MX2 classes. Christophe Pourcel obtained his maiden MX1 victory of the season, whereas Jeffrey Herlings obtained his second GP victory this weekend in Fermo.
