AGUEDA (Portugal), 8 June 2012 – The FIM Motocross World Championship travels from France to Portugal to celebrate the seventh Grand Prix of the season without any break in between. Besides, Agueda will not only host the MX1 and MX2 classes, but also the third round of the UEM EMX125 series.

Russian rider Evgeny Bobryshev just isn’t having much luck in 2012. Despite ending the 2011 season in great form, this season has seen him struggle with injuries and sickness.

Monster Energy Yamaha’s Steven Frossard will have a second operation on the right knee he injured at the Grand Prix of Bulgaria on April 21st and the process to replace the ACL ligament and fix a troublesome meniscus means that the 2011 FIM Motocross World Champion MX1 runner-up will miss the rest of the season.

The Red Bull KTM Factory team made a great return to the top of the winners circle in at the Grand Prix of France last weekend, when Antonio Cairoli won the MX1 overall and Jeffrey Herlings took victory in the MX2 class.

Young Frenchman Jordi Tixier has been working hard to make sure he makes the most of his situation in the Red Bull KTM Factory team. He has been slowly working away and fighting for every single point. After scoring good points in Italy and Mexico, everyone could see that Tixier was getting comfortable on his KTM.
