With just two months time before one of the most expected motocross events of the season, some teams have already started presenting their nominees to represent their countries in the 66th edition of the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, set for Lommel, Belgium, the upcoming 30th September weekend. Team Canada has recently made official that Cole Thompson is one of the candidates to represent Canada in the “Olympic Games” of Motocross.

The Red Bull KTM Factory team had reasons to celebrate last weekend in Russia as their two lead riders Antonio Cairoli and Jeffrey Herlings not only won their respective Grand Prix’s, but also extended their MX1 and MX2 Championship points leads.

Red Bull KTM rider Jeffrey Herlings has returned to Belgium after being involved in a car crash on the highway when traveling back to Moscow after an otherwise sensational weekend at the MX GPs of Russia at Semigorje, about 400 km north of the capital.
