FUNCHAL (Portugal), 20 September 2012 – Youthstream is very pleased to announce that the 66th edition of the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations will be LIVE on the National Italian channel RAI Sport 2. The event is scheduled for the 30th September weekend, so all the Italian fans will be able to follow all the Sunday action from home and find out which country conquers the Chamberlain Trophy.

After finishing with 11th place in the 2008 FIM World MX1 Championship, Belgian hard man Clement Desalle has proven to be very consistent. Going 3-2-3-2 in the end of season MX1 Championship points in the last four years, the Suzuki factory rider is very much the next man in line when it comes to winning the FIM World MX1 Championship.

Two British riders who took their chances in the Motocross of Nations and often came out with strong results are Paul Malin and James Dobb. While Dobb won a World 125cc Motocross Championship in 2001, it was Malin who led Team Great Britain to victory in the 1994 Motocross of Nations.

While the Monster Energy Motocross of Nations is a team sport, one of the highlights is the battles between the AMA National Championship riders and the FIM World Motocross Championship riders. In recent years the moto rivalries have been legendary.

Frenchman Christophe Pourcel remains one of the most exciting riders in the sport of Motocross. A technical style that is so beautiful to watch and his speed is at times not even irrelevant. Despite dropping down to fourth place in the FIM World MX1 Championship points, Pourcel remains one of the biggest chances to beat Antonio Cairoli straight up.
