Cosworth, the world’s leading independent supplier of high performance race engines is pleased to announce that it will be the engine development partner for the World Yamaha Motocross GP team led by Steve Dixon. Cosworth has an outstanding pedigree in the realm of high performance engineering and a lengthy roll of honour in international motorsport stretching back to its first win 50 years ago.

Now Cosworth has harnessed the technology, innovation and state of the art manufacturing employed to create supreme motive power in Formula OneTM to deliver race-winning performance for the Yamaha YZ250F motocross bike.

With a new name for 2010 reflecting Cosworth’s role, the BikeIt Cosworth Yamaha team will employ custom components developed by Cosworth in its quest to secure the British and World MotoX Championship titles. Cosworth will employ its proprietary design and manufacturing techniques to deliver ultra high performance engine components including pistons, connecting rods and valve springs to create the optimal motocross race engine.
