The charismatic Britt van der Vekken had a great personal results the 2011 FIM WMX World Championship, being on the podium in Slovakia-Senkvice and finishing 4th in the overall standings of the Champioship. After her winter time preparation she is now ready for the 2012 season, which starts at her home track in Valkenswaard in some days time.

Why did you start riding motocross? From where comes this idea?

„I start riding motocross because my parents were also riding. We were every weekend on the motocross races and then it al starts with a little quad.“

Who suports you the most in riding motocross?

„My parents, boyfriend, sponsors and friends supporting me the most. Without them i couldn’t do it.“

How looks like your winter training (preparing) for this season?

„My winter was just like the other winters, training in the Dutch sand. I was also 1.5 week in Spain with the Dutch selection of the KNMV.“

Do you feel ready for th first round of the FIM WMX Championship?

„I trained hard and gonna do my best. So we will see after the first round if I was ready hihi. But i am feeling good.“

How excited are you to race in Valkenswaard?

„I am very exicted because it’s my home country and I really like it to ride for the Dutch fans.“

Who do you think your main rival will be for this race?

„That’s a difficult question because I don’t know how fast the other girls are.„

What are your expectations for this race?

„I am going to do my best and give everything I have, and then we will see.“

Any changes in your team?

„No everything is the same as last year. If it feels good, don’t change it.“

Are you ready to be again on the podium?

„Ready? I don’t know, but for shure I am going to try it. Because it was amazing feeling to be on the podium, after all the hard work.“

What do you want to say to your loyal fans?

“Thanks a lot for the support that you are giving to me. And I also want to thanks my mom, dad, boyfriend and all my sponsors.”
