Italy gets ready for the MXoN

The Italian Motorcycling Federation (FMI) has recently announced the three riders who will represent Italy at the 2012 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations, set for Lommel, Belgium, during the 30th September weekend. Antonio Cairoli in MX1, Alessandro Lupino in MX2 and Davide Guarneri in the Open class will be the riders wearing the Maglia Azzurra during the 66th edition of the MXoN and will do their best to be on the podium.

The FMI has also presented the names of the riders who will represent Italy at the Motocross of European Nations, which will take place in Kiev, Ukraine, during the 14th October weekend. In this occasion, Davide Guarneri will race in the MX1 class, while Alessandro Lupino will represent Italy in the MX2 category. Matteo Bonini will complete the Italian squad in the Open class.

Like last year, Thomas Traversini will head Team Italy.

The official presentation of both squads is scheduled for the 9th September in Faenza during the MXGP of Europe.
