Strong Swiss team for MXoN
By Max Zahner | 13 Sep 2012
The Swiss Motorcycling Federation has recently presented the official team which will represent Switzerland in the 66th edition of the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations. Arnaud Tonus will be the Swiss representative in MX1, Jeremy Seewer in MX2 and Valentin Guillod in the Open class. The 2012 Swiss team is one of the best ones ever selected for such prestigious motocross competition, scheduled for September 30th weekend in Lommel, Belgium.
The three Swiss riders have been very successful this year, Tonus and Guillod in the FIM MX2 World Championship and Seewer in the UEM EMX250 series, but all of them they will need to train really hard to face the demanding deep sand track of Lommel, as it is not one of their favourite soils. During the last couple of years, Team Switzerland has always been around the top ten places of the MXoN, so this year they are all looking forward to achieve the same goal.
Alain Schafer, 2010 MX2 Swiss champion, is the reserve rider for Team Switzerland.
