ICE1Racing reaches for the top

World Championship motocross team ICE1Racing has taken a new direction as the team, which centralizes in Belgium in the future, will concentrate fully on the MX1 class with the lead of Antti Pyrhönen. The team has singed an agreement together with the French rider Xavier Boog for the next season. The goal of the team is to break into the top five in the MX1 overall classification and reach several GP podiums.
ICE1RACING motocross team owned by Kimi Räikkönen has sealed a contract together with the Finnish motocross rider Antti Pyrhönen, who recently finished his career. Pyrhönen takes the lead as the team manager for ICE1Racing with confidence and wants to take the motocross team up a step.
“Our plan is to move the team operations to Belgium and concentrate fully on the MX1 class in the World Championships. We want to reach the top in all areas, which requires the full attention of the whole team”, commented the new team manager Antti Pyrhönen.
Along with these changes, ICE1Racing team has singed an agreement together with the French rider Xavier Boog, who belongs to the MX1 top riders of the world. 24-year old Boog finished seventh in the World Championships this season.
“I am very happy to join the ICE1Racing team. Although the team is fairly new in the World Championship circus, they are experienced and the team knows what it takes to win”, commented the team’s newcomer Xavier Boog.
The goals of the ICE1Racing team are high.
“Along with the international riders, the team will aim to finish among the top five in the overall classification next season and to take several GP podiums, that’s clear. We want to be on the top of the know-how and I believe that we now have a good chance”, commented the team owner Kimi Räikkönen the plans of the team.
ICE1Racing team entered the World Championships 2011.
