Vote for your favourite motocross rider

For third year in a row, the FIM is organizing the FIM Gala, which will take place in the Principality of Monaco on the 2nd December, where all the FIM World Champions will be awarded for their achievements in 2012, and once again all the two-wheels fans have the opportunity to vote for their favourite rider to become the 2012 Rookie of the Year, the 2012 Woman of the Year and the 2012 Personality of the Year.

The 2012 Monster Energy FIM 125cc Motocross Junior World Champion Tim Gajser, the Monster Energy FIM 85cc Motocross Junior World Champion Brian Hsu and the Monster Energy FIM 65cc Motocross Junior World Champion Caleb Grothues are three of the six candidates to receive the 2012 Rookie of the Year Award. Mathias Bellino, FIM Junior Enduro World Champion, and Jonowski Maciej and Jensen Michael Jepsen, FIM Speedway Under 21 World Champions, complete the 2012 Rookie nominees.

The clear dominant of the 2012 FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship, Chiara Fontanesi, is one of the candidates to be proclaimed the women of the year, together with Laia Sanz, FIM Women’s Trial World Champion & FIM Women’s Enduro World Cup winner, Camelia Liparoti, FIM Women’s Cross-Country Rallies World Cup winner, and Emmanuelle Clair, FIM Bajas World Cup Winner – Women.

Among the candidates to receive the award of 2012 Personality of the Year there is the five-times World Champion Champion Antonio Cairoli, who is one of the few riders who will be attending the FIM Gala for third time in a row. The other candidates for such award are the FIM MotoGP Grand Prix World Champion Jorge Lorenzo, the FIM Superbike World Champion Massimiliano Biaggi, the AMA Supercross and FIM World Champion Ryan Villopoto, The FIM Trial & X-Trial World Champion Toni Bou, The FIM Enduro E1 World Champion Antoine Meo, the FIM SuperEnduro World Champion Tadeusz Blazusiak, the FIM Speedway GP World Champion Chris Holder and the FIM Ice Speedway Gladiators World Champion Nikolai Krasnikov.
