Former Motocross World Champion and member of the organizing committee of the Grand Prix of Mexico Sebastién Tortelli makes a balance of what happened last weekend in Guadalajara during the fourth round of the FIM Motocross World Championship. Please find here below Sebastién Tortelli’s words.

BETO CARRERO (Brazil), 20 May 2012 – This morning Beto Carrero woke up with heavy rain, but it did not stop the thousands of motocross fans to come to the track to cheer the best motocross riders in the world. Christophe Pourcel and Tommy Searle succeeded in putting two Kawasaki’s on the top of the podium, while Antonio Cairoli and Jeffrey Herlings finished eighth and seventh respectively.

Heavy rain could not dampen the spirits of the sell out crowd at the Honda Grand Prix of Brazil as Tommy Searle and Christophe Pourcel secured victories in MX2 and MX1 respectively. There was space on the podium as well for Christophe Charlier and Jose Butron in MX2 and David Philippaerts and Kevin Strijbos in MX1.

BETO CARRERO (Brazil), 20 May 2012 – The Honda Grand Prix of Brazil started on Saturday in Beto Carrero with the MX1 and MX2 qualifying races and also with an important announcement regarding the future of motocross in Brazil. Youthstream Vice-president Mr. Luigi Zompetti, FIM Deputy President Mr. Jorge Viegas, Romagnolli Promoções e Eventos President Mr. Carlos Romagnolli, Mr. Leandro Romagnolli and Mr. Lincoln Duarte as key representatives of Romagnolli Promoções e Eventos and CBM President Mr. Firmo Alves explained that Brazil has a bright future ahead in motocross, starting already from this weekend with the outstanding and professional organization and the unique structure of the Honda Grand Prix of Brazil.

BETO CARRERO (Brazil), 19 May 2012 – Racing started today at the outstanding facilities of Beto Carrero with both MX1 and MX2 qualifying races. The grand stands of the Honda Grand Prix of Brazil were already almost full today and the warm Brazilian public enjoyed watching Antonio Cairoli and Jeffrey Herlings dominating their respective heats with superb authority.
